Hello, my name is Amy Braun, and I am the Program Chair for the upcoming JALT Junior Conference. JALT Junior runs alongside the JALT International Conference and focuses on presentations and activities for educators working with young learners, from preschool through high school (ages 0–18). This year’s conference will be held on November 1–2, 2025.
After discussing with Susan Meiki how to strengthen the connection between our sponsors and JALT Junior participants, we’re excited to introduce something new this year: a sponsor-centered raffle!
Here’s how it will work:
• Each attendee will receive a raffle ticket when they join a JALT Junior presentation. This is the raffle ticket we will print out and provided: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGNnuhapPQ/pR30bhCdNOUQNwQzrB0Yig/edit
• To enter the raffle, they must visit a sponsor booth and drop their ticket into the raffle box there.
• This way, participants are encouraged to connect directly with you—our valued sponsors.
To make this easy, we’ll provide participants with a sponsor map and highlight where each raffle box is located. At the end of the conference (Sunday afternoon), I’ll collect all the raffle boxes, draw winners, contact them, and mail out the prizes. The TYL SIG will cover all postage costs.
How you can join in:
We warmly invite you to donate prizes for the raffle. Since our audience includes educators across all levels (preschool, elementary, junior high, and high school), useful classroom or teaching-related items are especially appreciated—examples include graded readers, flashcards, crayons, resource books, or other creative teaching materials.
There’s no strict limit on the number of items you donate. Our recommendation is around 5 prizes, but whether you’d like to give more, fewer, or just one, everything is warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated.
