Dear JALT Sponsor,
The Computer-Assisted Language Learning Special Interest Group of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) will be hosting its annual conference under the theme “Prevail or Fail?”
We have invited international and domestic educators, researchers, and classroom teachers to explore digital tools, pedagogical innovations, research projects, and printed materials. Participants will present on their successes and setbacks in technology-enhanced language education: projects that worked, those that didn’t, and lessons learned in between. Topics include: experimental classroom applications, data-driven research, AI and VR integration, assessment and feedback innovations, teacher training, learner autonomy, or institutional implementation.
In 2025, we had 15 workshops, 129 presentations, 26 posters, 2 featured panels, 2 forums, and 286 participants. As we learn from our own mistakes, we strive to improve in all aspects, including the opportunities we provide to participants, attendees, and commercial partners. We hope to integrate partners throughout the whole conference experience from sign-up to the final day. To do this we wish to engage everyone earlier in the process so that visibility is maximised. Visibility on the website, at the venue, between presentations.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to join us as sponsors for the upcoming 2026 conference. The event will be an excellent opportunity to share information about your latest products and projects with an enthusiastic audience of technology-focused language education professionals. Sponsors interested in including material in the conference bags should discuss this with our JALTCALL Sponsor Liaison, Susan Meike. We are particularly interested in materials that will have some utility to our attendees, such as sample materials, notebooks, branded stationery, and access to online tools.
The call for proposals opened on November 1st, 2025 at the JALT international conference, and will close on January 31st, 2026, after which we will begin to build our schedule.
