We are Amy Braun and Yoko Takano, Conference Chairs for the JALT International Conference 2026, to be held in Nagoya from November 20–22. The conference theme is “Beyond the Classroom,” focusing on intercultural competence, global citizenship, real-world learning, and 21st-century skills.

As we explore potential plenary speakers, we would greatly appreciate your recommendations for speakers who would be a strong fit for this theme and for an international audience. As we plan for next year, we are also being very budget conscious, so we are particularly interested in Japan-based plenary speakers or options that include partial sponsorship support for an international plenary.
