Thank you very much for your continued support of JALT. We appreciate your patience, and we are pleased to inform you that the application form for the Featured Speaker Workshops is now ready.

We sincerely apologize for the short notice, but the application deadline is May 31 (Japan time). If you have any questions, please email the conference team directly at <conference@jalt.org> with “Question Regarding Featured Speaker” in the subject line. 

Featured Speakers do not present on the main stage; however, they are positioned as highlighted speakers within the conference and receive significant visibility in the program. Each Featured Speaker is provided with two workshop slots: one 60‑minute session and one 30‑minute session. Regarding the selection process, your organization’s representative will be asked to submit two workshop proposals through the online application form. The Conference Chairs and Conference Director will review the submitted content to ensure that it aligns with this year’s conference theme. As mentioned earlier, the “representative” refers to the nominee who submits the proposals and serves as the primary contact, as Featured Speakers do not submit proposals themselves. Therefore, close communication between the representative and the Featured Speaker is essential. Additionally, the representative and the sponsoring organization are responsible for covering the speaker’s travel expenses and honorarium. JALT provides only the conference fee waiver and publicity.

申込期限が5月31日（日本時間）とたいへんみじかくなっており恐縮です。ご質問がございましたら、題名に「Featured Speakerに関しての質問」と明記し、直接担当＜conference@jalt.org＞までメールでお問い合わせ下さい。 

Featured Speaker（特別講演者）は、メインステージでのご登壇はありません。ただし、大会全体の中で特に注目されるスピーカーとして位置づけられており、プログラム内でも大きく取り上げられます。Featured Speaker には 60 分と30 分、合計 2 つのワークショップ枠が提供されます。 選考プロセスについては、オンライン申し込みフォーム上で、貴社の代表の方に 2 件のワークショップ・プロポーザルをご申請いただく形になります。ご提出いただいた内容を大会理事と大会責任者が確認し、今年の大会テーマと大きく逸脱していないかをチェックします。本年の大会テーマは、こちらからお読みいただけます。https://events.jalt.org/event/73/ 

先に「貴社の代表」と申し上げましたのは、Featured Speaker 本人が自らプロポーザルを提出するのではなく、推薦者（nominee）が代表者として申請および連絡窓口を担うためです。したがって、代表者と実際の Featured Speaker は密に連携していただく必要があります。また、代表者および推薦元の団体が、スピーカーの旅費・謝金等の費用を負担していただきます。JALT がご提供するのは、参加費免除（conference waiver）と広報のみとなりますことをご了承下さい。
