Dear JALT Associate Member,
The Osaka Chapter of JALT will be holding Back to School 2023, our 13th Annual Spring Conference online and in person at Osaka Jogakuin University on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 9:30 – 17:00.
This year’s conference will be back in person for the first time in four years; however, we are making it partially hybrid to allow online participation for more people throughout Japan and around the world. Sunday, April 23rd will also be an Open Campus day at Osaka Jogakuin, so we expect to have more students, parents, and high school teachers than usual on campus and hopefully participating in the conference as well.
We would like to welcome your representatives to participate in the conference if time permits. It should be an excellent opportunity to share your materials with an interested audience. In the past, we have averaged nearly 100 people attending our in-person conferences, so with the additional hybrid component combined with Osaka Jogakuin’s Open Campus, we expect to draw even more participants this year.

We do not require financial support; however, we would welcome help with publicity and/or small donations for things such as refreshments. We would be happy if you could attend our event; however, if it is difficult to send a representative in person, it is also possible for you to present remotely via Zoom. We would also welcome a pre-recorded presentation or other recordings that we could post on our website for participants to view before or after the conference either as an alternative or in addition to a remote or in-person presentation. If you choose to help or support our event in any way, we will give you recognition on our website and in the conference program.
