Dear JALT Associate Members,

I hope this mail finds you well!

We would like to invite you to display your materials atthe 2020 JALT Hokkaido Winter Language Teaching Conference, February 1st and 2nd. It will be held at Hokusei Gakuen University in Sapporo. It is a two-day conference beginning Saturday from 10:00 with presentations, workshops and poster presentations and continuing Sunday from 10:00-16:00 finishing with a symposium with education leaders. Set up time would be from 8:30, Saturday. There will also be 3 JALT Special Interest Groups participating at our conference, so turn out should be much higher than in previous years. 

You will be able to send any materials you have ahead of time to the school.

The conference theme is “Getting Creative: Avenues to Successful Practices in EFL/ELL”

The fee is 20,000 yen for both days including 2 tables for display in a high traffic area (usually the area with the coffee and donuts) and an advertisement in our on-line program.

We will know after the vetting of abstract submissions if we can offer presentation slots. That should be done by the first week of November.

We hope that you will join us! The weather will be winter and snow. A great time to see Sapporo in its element. It is before the snow festival but only by a few days so many of the big snow sculptures will have been completed. If a direct commercial presence is not in your planning, consider supporting through providing gifts for a raffle during the JALT Hokkaido General Meeting and symposium with education leaders from Hokkaido.
